The usage of paper money comes from the inventors of the paper and printing press: the Song dynasty (960-1276 A.C.) in China. Traders didn't have to carry anymore loads of metal coins for the transactions. Promissory notes appeared in Europe during the 13th century and are the precursors of our modern bank notes. Designed with care, bank notes are good witnesses of their epoch and of the culture which emits them

The wrapping papers are folded to fit in a book.
They can be easily removed from the book by tearing them along a perforated line.
Dimensions folded: 25 x 34.5 cm.
Dimensions opened: 50 x 70 cm.
Each book contains 12 different designs and a notice of explanation about the theme.
The sheets can be used as wrapping paper but also as material for scrappbooking.
